The Dementia Engagement & Empowerment Project (DEEP) brings together groups of people with dementia from across the UK. DEEP engages and empowers people living with dementia to influence services and policies that affect their lives. It also offers opportunities for social engagement.

The Dementia Engagement and Empowerment Programme (DEEP) is a growing user movement across the UK. It connects involvement/influencing groups of people with dementia – groups where people with dementia are working together to raise awareness about dementia – to policy-makers and decision makers, to influence local dementia practice and strategy, and to challenge the existing narrative about what it is like to live with dementia.

Retain Wellbeing

Retain Wellbeing CIC (Community Interest Company) has been formed to improve the lives of people living in our community. We have three directors, all of whom have extensive health and social care experience and a passion for innovation that works. We hate to see wasted resources and opportunities. We are here to promote health and wellbeing in our communities.

DEEP Guides

DEEP guides aim to support the involvement of people with dementia. Some were created for DEEP groups or individuals with dementia, others are for organisations wanting to work well with people who have dementia. Some of these guides were co-produced with people with dementia, others were created independently by groups of people with dementia.

Big Lottery Fund

The Big Lottery Fund gives grants to organisations in the UK to help improve their communities. The money awarded comes from the UK National Lottery. DEEP Cheshire West and Wirral is delighted to announce that The Big Lottery Fund have awarded a £10,000 grant to set these groups up and to give people of Cheshire West and Wirral living with dementia a voice.
